Steady Progress According to Plan

Work on the construction site of US Pharmacia’s new factory on Bierutowska Street continues to move forward as planned. The first equipment installations are already behind us, and in the coming weeks, we will enter the next phase: the installation of production machines and lines, as well as the setup of laboratory and office spaces. As we’ve emphasized before, this new facility marks an important step toward even better use of the potential of our teams, resources, and processes.

Although construction is still ongoing, USP employees already have the opportunity to visit their future workplace. These visits are more than just a walk-through – they are a first chance to see how earlier expectations compare with reality. Questions arise, first impressions take shape, and sometimes there are surprises. It’s a shared experience that builds engagement and a genuine sense of ownership in the change underway.

Technology Supporting Every Stage of Production

From the very beginning, our goal has been to ensure that advanced systems support every stage of the production process – from raw material handling to packaging of finished goods. Among the planned investments are autonomous AGV forklifts that will enhance safety and streamline internal logistics, automated packaging systems for unit cartons, and modern weighing stations – both automatic and semi-automatic. We are also planning to implement a LIMS for laboratory data management and are considering the rollout of a MES with electronic batch records. These technologies will make the new factory faster, more efficient, and quality-focused at every step of the process.

Looking Ahead: Next Steps and Initiatives

Over the next few years, we plan to launch a number of initiatives across production, logistics, and day-to-day operations. Our goal is to fully leverage the potential of the new site, implement solutions that drive efficiency, and continue to invest in sustainable growth.
Among other things, thanks to the technologies being introduced, we will significantly expand our production capacity and open up to new product categories. The new facility will also allow us to bring in-house certain processes previously handled externally – strengthening our operational independence and flexibility.

Each of these efforts brings us closer to our goal: reinforcing USP’s position as a responsible and forward-thinking company.
